dotcanuck Web Services Launched
November is dotcanuck Charity Registration Month
VICTORIA – TransitionalMedia Inc. has just launched dotcanuck Web Services, an online service that allows people across the country to register their own ‘.ca’ domain names (www.dotcanuck.com).
To kick off the new service, 50 cents from every registration fee goes to charity.
The cost of the service is already very competitive. We charge as little as $25.45 without hosting, and just $1.00 with hosting. Some competitors charge as much as $100.00 for the same service.
“Providing Canadian domain-names is already a very competitive market,” said David Stevenson, President of TransitionalMedia, “so we needed to compete on every front – we are offering one of the lowest registration costs, we are sharing proceeds with Canadian charities, and we are providing top-notch customer service, including our new call center that allows people to phone in their registrations.”
The Canadian Internet Registration Authority (CIRA) has very recently relaxed the rules on registration of domain names ending with ‘.ca’.
“There is simply no better way in cyberspace to say ‘I am Canadian’, than by having a ‘.ca’ website,” adds Paul Holmes, CEO of TransitionalMedia Inc.
“Also, you do not have to drop your ‘.com’ name, you can simply add ‘.ca’ to your existing website in a few minutes. Internet users will then find your website using either name.”
