Internet landmark reached today for the first time
VICTORIA – As of April 14th, there are over one-million Internet addresses registered that end with .CA.
Staff of Victoria-based dotcanuck Web Services, one of Western Canada’s largest .CA certified domain name registrars, and a registrar since 2000, are celebrating this Canadian landmark.
“Back in 2000 people did not hold .CA domain names in very high regard,” said Paul Holmes, dotcanuck Web Services President, “today consumers and businesses hold the Canadian Internet brand in such high regard that a .CA website is an essential asset for Canadian business.”
To celebrate the milestone millionth domain name, dotcanuck Web Services has launched www.millionth.ca, an online contest for all Canadians.
